Centennial High School’s Homecoming week (October 9 - 13) begins……

Monday with “Meme Monday”  and activities continue all week.

Tuesday’s spirit day is “Twin Tuesday.”  The Powder Puff logistics and rules meeting will be held by Ms. Grimm during "Eagle Time" in room 402.

Wednesday’s spirit day is “PJ Day.”  The Homecoming Powder Puff Game is at 6pm in the stadium.

Thursday’s spirit day is “USA Day.” 

Friday is our big day, starting with spirit day of class colors, an in-school Pep Rally, after-school carnival, and football game.

  • Sophomores - blue
  • Juniors - white
  • Seniors - red

The Homecoming Carnival begins at 3 pm and ends at 4:30/5 pm.  Tickets are one dollar each.  The number of tickets required varies for food, games, and other purchases.  Proceeds benefit various clubs and groups.
The Homecoming Football Game begins at 7 pm

The annual CHS PTSA Pancake Breakfast will be held in the cafeteria on Saturday October 14th from 9am to 12 pm. Join the Centennial community for all you can eat pancakes, sausage, muffins, fresh fruit and drinks.  The Oriole Bird will be on hand between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. for a meet and greet and pictures.  Don’t miss out on this wonderful community event.  Entrance fee is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students, children under 12 and all CHS PTSA members. 

Finally, on Saturday evening, the Homecoming Dance is from 7-10 pm.  No admittance after 8 pm.  Homecoming tickets are $20 each.  Tickets may be purchased online (preferred).  Ticket sales will also take place during all lunch shifts beginning Monday, Oct. 9th and ending Friday, Oct. 13th after the last lunch.  If a student would like to bring a guest from another school, Guest Dance Forms are available in the front office and are due no later than Wednesday, Oct. 11th.  No tickets are sold at the door. 

Before a ticket may be bought, all obligations must be cleared.  

Forms: Emergency Procedure cards (Family File), HCPSS dance agreement (Guidelines for HS Dances), CHS Student Honor Code/Academic Integrity agreement, HCPSS Student Code of Conduct & Related Policies.

Other obligations: overdue media books, textbooks, uniforms, etc.

SGA is partnering with the Salvation Army to collect non-perishable food items for a local food bank.  Monday - Thursday tickets will be offered at a discount of $5 if a student brings in 5 non-perishable, non-expired food items. 

PTSA will have a Clothing to Cash Recycling truck on hand in the school parking lot during the pancake breakfast collecting donations for its Reduce, Reuse, Recycle fundraiser.  They are asking everyone to please bring one or more bags of used clothing, shoes, bedding, towels, accessories and/or stuffed animals and help us raise money while you clean out your closets.  They earn money for every pound collected and everything donated will be reworn, repurposed or recycled. Help support Centennial PTSA and save the environment, one bag at a time.

Online tickets must meet the same obligation and discount requirements (if donating food to Salvation Army) They will be sold online beginning Tuesday, September 27th and ending Thursday, October 12th.  All obligations must still be met.  The online receipt must be exchanged for a paper ticket.

We are continuing with Homecoming Ambassadors.  One student from each grade will be chosen by their class advisors for working the hardest towards Homecoming.  These students will be announced at the Pep Rally and will be recognized at the dance.  Homecoming Ambassadors will receive a gift certificate for spirit wear.
