Student Start and Dismissal Times

Please note that new school hours are in effect for the 2023-24 school year. Student arrival time is 8:00 AM and dismissal time is 2:45 PM.

Messaging to Families

The HCPSS and school email/text message system will update in early August, at which point parents will automatically receive communication from your child’s 2023-2024 school (if different from the current school). Prior to that rollover, you will continue to receive communication from your child’s 2022-2023 school. During this time, please do not unsubscribe from any HCPSS or school messages as it will immediately block you from receiving all messages, including emergency notifications.

Class of 2024 – Senior Portraits

Lifetouch will be here next month (July 19, 20, 21) to take Senior Portraits. I recommend signing up now. In the fall, classes and college visits usually interfere with your picture dates. Also, if you do not like the picture, you still have time for make-ups.

Please use the online scheduling program www.prestigeportraits.com to reserve an appointment. To schedule your appointment without your 8-digit code, search by filtering the City & State.  Please be sure to use your legal name when making an appointment.  If you have already scheduled your Prestige Portrait, you may confirm or modify online.

2022-23 Yearbooks

The CHS yearbooks are not delivered until the fall. We publish a full yearbook, complete with spring sports, prom, and graduation. Because these spring events are included, the yearbook is not submitted until the end of the year and requires about seven weeks for processing. Underclassmen will get their books in the fall when they return to school; graduates will receive their books via USPS in early to mid-August.

  Fall Tryouts

Fall Sports Tryouts begin Wednesday, August 9. Check the schedule for the times and locations.
