Parents who were opted in for text messages last year are opted in for this year. Many new HCPSS parents already received an opt-in message from “Howard County Public Schools alerts”.

Parents who changed their mobile phone number in HCPSS Connect, and would like to opt-in for text messages this year must text “Y" to the number 67587 from the mobile phone number on file in HCPSS Connect.  If you are unsure whether or not you have already opted in, you may text the letter “Y” to 67587 from the mobile phone number on file in HCPSS Connect. You can opt-in multiple times without any side effects to your account.
