This Sunday, April 23, the Women in Aeronautics and Astronautics (WIAA) organization at the University of Maryland will be hosting middle and high school students and a parent for WIAA Day. This event will include 2 keynote speakers from females atop the aerospace industry, an opportunity to ask both working engineers and UMD students questions on a panel, and a chance for students to work in teams to develop a mission to Mars. Parents will hear presentations about the Engineering Career and Co-Op Office, classes to take in high school and the application process, and Women in Engineering programs at UMD. They will also have a chance to ask a student panel questions.
