CAAC AND THE CHS PTSA STAFF APPRECIATION COMMITTEE WISH THE CHS STAFF A HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!
On Friday, Feb. 15, the Chinese Association at Centennial (CAAC), aided by the Staff Appreciation Committee, hosted a Chinese dumpling lunch for the CHS Staff. In attendance were some very special guests, including Superintendent Mr. Martirano, Ron Morris (Performance, Equity, and Community Response Officer), Pat Saunderson (Community Superintendent), Min Kim (HCPSS Int’l Student and Family Services), many BOE Members and staff.
Many talented cooks from CAAC gathered to create a cultural and culinary feast for our dedicated staff who were treated to delicious, hand-prepared, traditional dumplings made on site at CHS. Rounding out the meal were savory Chinese pancakes, a variety of accompanying sauces, cookies, and oranges. The staff and administration were very grateful and many declared it to be one of their favorite days of the school year!
LOOKING FOR WINEers!!!! Even if you can’t attend the Gala this year you can help support the Boosters by donating a bottle of wine with a minimum value of $10 to the event for the annual Wine Pull. Bottles may be dropped off at 9984 Timberknoll Lane or you may purchase new bottles at Jason’s Wine & Spirits at a discounted price and leave the bottles with them. Jason’s Wine & Liquors, the sponsor of our Wine Pull, is offering a 10% discount on your entire purchase of wine, provided at least one bottle from your order is donated to the Centennial Boosters. Simply tell the cashier that you are donating a bottle or more to the Centennial Boosters and they will take 10% of your entire order of wine only (excluding sale bottles). They will also hold your donated bottles for us to pick up. Jason's is located at 9339 Baltimore National Pike in the same shopping center at Jimmy Johns. Offer is valid until March 6, 2019.
