The 2019-2020 school year begins on September 3, 2019. Students are expected to be in their seats and ready to start the school day by 7:25am each morning. Bus schedules are available through the school system website, and students should plan to be at their stops 10 minutes before the stated pick-up time.
We believe that the safest way for students who do not drive themselves to get to school is by accessing the transportation provided. However, we do understand that there may be occasions when it is necessary to drive your student to school. When that happens, please follow the procedures listed below to help ensure the safety of all students during school arrival time:
Drivers are to follow the established parking flow (see illustrations below).
Students who must be driven to school are to be dropped off along the right-hand curb from the right lane.
The left lanes should only be used for passing and exiting the lot.
Students may not be dropped off along Centennial Lane.
Parents are to refrain from making U-turns on Centennial Lane as it impedes traffic and contributes to unsafe conditions for students and drivers.
Students who have obtained a parking permit are are encouraged to arrive early to avoid being tardy and reminded to park in spaces outlined in white. Traffic jams occur daily during the morning rush along Centennial Lane. We very much appreciate your partnership to ensure our commitment to student safety.
Please observe the traffic flow. Be watchful for students walking in the lots from their cars. Be observant of cross traffic as students drive through the lot to park their cars for the day.
If you drop your student off along the Burleigh Manor curb, they are to use the crosswalk to get to the building. Drivers may then use the exit boulevard to exit the lot. Please note the addition of a stop sign at the intersection of the exit road and the Centennial High School lot.
Student drivers may park in any spot lined with white. Yellow spaces are for staff and visitors only.
