Diploma Distribution Day – Monday, June 1

We need your help!  We are asking the entire Centennial HS community to help make Diploma Day special for our graduating seniors!  With the traditional graduation ceremony cancelled due to the COVID pandemic, the CHS administration will be hosting “Diploma Day” for seniors on Monday, June 1, featuring a car parade at Centennial HS for the seniors to "drive thru" to receive their diplomas.  In order to make this event festive and celebratory, we need your help in the following ways:

·   Volunteers are needed to make posters celebrating and congratulating the CHS Class of 2020.  These posters will be displayed along the parade route.  We need hundreds of posters to make the campus look festive for this event, so we need everyone to be creative and make as many posters as they can!  Please drop off posters at Tami McClatchey's house (4521 Yorkshire Drive, Ellicott City; a container will be located in the driveway for contactless delivery) no later than Sunday, May 31, or to Centennial HS on Monday, June 1, by 6:15 a.m.  If you want to drop off your poster directly at CHS, it can only be dropped off on Monday morning, June 1, between 6:00-6:15 a.m.  No one will be available at CHS to receive posters on any other day.

·   Volunteers are needed to help decorate the CHS campus (hang banners, post signs, decorate with sidewalk chalk, blow up balloons) from 6:00-7:45 a.m. on Monday, June 1st.  All on-site volunteers must wear masks and gloves while on school property.  Per HCPSS COVID directives, all volunteers must depart the campus prior to the beginning of the diploma distribution at 8:00 a.m.
