CELEBRATE CENTENNIAL:

On Saturday, November 21st, Centennial Speech and Debate competed at the second BCFL tournament of the season! Overall, Centennial had a terrific showing with 2 speech competitors and 1 debate team placing and receiving medals. Furthermore, it was great to see so many Centennial students competing for the first time and trying new events. Congratulations to all Centennial debaters, as every single team won at least one round!
Our competitors and teams collectively won three medals. Starting with speech, Christly Bright-Agindotan and Emily Xing placed first in Oral Interpretation and Declamation respectively. In addition, our JV Public Forum Debate team of Atul Kashyap and Arif Vempalle won a silver medal.
None of this would have been possible without our parent and volunteer judges. We thank each and every one of our judges for giving up their Saturday to allow our team to compete. We cannot do this without their support!
Our team looks forward to competing at our next tournament on Saturday, December 19th – Go Eagles!
