Our school cafeteria workers are heroes and now more than ever you deserve a GIANT celebration! During normal times, you are among the first staff members to arrive at school, showing up early to start preparing at least two meals for our students to eat during the day. Since March 17, 2020, many of you have gone beyond your normal duties to keep students and families fed -packing thousands of breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners every week. We celebrate School Lunch Hero Day and take the opportunity to recognize and thank you for serving over 5.4million meals to students since the COVID-19 meal service began in March 2020. You are our HEROES, not only for today but also over the past year!
