Fun activities for spooky season (and more!) by the HeartWise Project

Are you feeling stressed? Are you craving a break from studying? Or do you just feel like helping the community? Here are a couple of fun and exciting opportunities that can help you de-stress while bringing joy into a senior's life. Colorful words: This year's fall colors, although much delayed, are filling us with joy and inspiration. If you enjoy writing, consider writing a fall-themed poem for the LOVE Program! Simply follow the advice here, record yourself reciting the poem, and submit! You can also record yourself reciting the works of other poets, but don't forget to give credit. Spooks and treats: Halloween is just around the corner! Although you are too old to go trick or treating (let's face it), you can still celebrate by submitting a Halloween-themed video for the LOVE Program! Just make sure it's appropriate (i.e. something you would show to your grandma). For example, you can play Halloween music, make Halloween cupcakes or recite a poem, such as "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. Submission instructions can be found here. Videos that follow the instructions will be posted on our youtube channel. If you have any questions, you can email us at chsheartwiseproject@gmail.com. We hope you have fun with these activities, and we look forward to seeing your submissions!
