The Centennial High School Music Department is proud to present the Centennial Symphony Orchestra and Chorale featuring pianist Tina Chong on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 7PM in the Centennial High School Auditorium. Dr. Chong will join us in welcoming our new piano, courtesy of the CHS Friends of Music and our gracious music community, to its home stage. Dr. Chong is an international award-winning pianist who has performed as a guest soloist with professional orchestras around the world. The evening will start with the Centennial Symphony Orchestra performing Russlan and Ludmilla Overture by Michael Ivanovich Glinka. Dr. Chong will accompany the Centennial Chorale (members of Chamber Choir and Bella Voce) on Copland’s The Promise of Living from The Tender Land and J’Entends le Moulin, a Québecois Folk Song arranged by Donald Patriquin. The evening will end with a performance of Beethoven’s triumphant Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Centennial Symphony Orchestra.
