The Collaborative PTSA Parent Education Group invites you to join an informative virtual presentation on Supporting LGBTQ+ Young People on Thursday, December 8th, 2022, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Suzi Gerb, an LGBTQ+ Educator, will provide parents with information on the vocabulary and concepts around LGBTQ+ young people and the stages they typically go through. We will explore the issues they face and discuss what works and what doesn't when it comes to making sure LGBTQ+ young people are supported. This workshop is intended for parents of high school students, though their students can attend with them, if they wish. Suzi Gerb is a writer, speaker, and educator on issues involving the LGBTQ+ community. She is a teacher and faculty advisor at CHS.  We will reserve the last 20-25 minutes of the webinar for questions and answers. 
This workshop is being coordinated through the Collaborative PTSA Parent Education Group, a joint project of Howard County high school PTSAs.
