Student Parking Permits

Permission for students to drive and park vehicles on school system property is a privilege, not a right. In order to be granted this privilege, students must obtain a student parking permit each school year, which requires students and parents/guardians to annually attend a driver safety session and to pay the $15 fee for the parking permit. Students must also comply with all school rules related to driving and parking on school property in order to retain

this privilege.  Parking Permit Application

Driver Safety Sessions

Driver Safety presentations will be held at Centennial High School on Wednesday, August 29, and Wednesday, September 5, in the auditorium. Presentations begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and attendance by both student and parent is required for the entire session in order to obtain a parking permit. Once the presentation has started and the doors are closed, late students and parents will not be admitted. Students not yet possessing a driver's license at the time of the assembly, but who anticipate obtaining one during the course of the school year, should attend the presentation.

Parking Application Process

Please bring $15 permit fee, completed parking application, and a copy of your driver's license to receive your parking permit on the night of the presentation. Accepted payment forms: cash, checks payable to Centennial High School, or online school payment at https://osp.osmsinc.com/HowardMD/.

Additional Information

Students do not need to attend a safe driving seminar at their home school. You may attend a session at another Howard County high school, but will need a signature from an authorized person at the school on the Safe Driving Application form verifying your attendance.
