HCPSS participates in the Free and Reduced-price Meals (FARMs) program.  Participation in FARMs qualifies students for a wide range of opportunities and resources beyond breakfast and lunch, including free college applications, free or reduced JumpStart tuition, discounted internet through the Comcast Internet Essentials program, and more.  Read more.

Multilingual Parent Leadership Program (MPLP)

The Multilingual Parent Leadership Program (MPLP) is designed to increase leadership capacity of Multilingual parents to step into leadership roles in schools and communities as advocates on behalf of the system’s Multilingual students. The six-week program helps Multilingual parents understand the framework of the US educational system and the structure and functions of the Howard County Public School System.  Read more.

CELEBRATE CENTENNIAL:

Congratulations to CHS It's Academic!

On September 17, Centennial High School sent 3 teams to a 14 team tournament at Johns Hopkins University. All 3 teams qualified in the top tier for the playoffs. Centennial High School's  A Team came in first place and Centennial High School's B Team came in second place. Interestingly, the only loss for Centennial High School's A Team came from Centennial High School's C Team! Our 2 teams from Burleigh Manor Middle School came in 3rd and 4th place. WOW!
