Register for Bus Transportation for 2023-24

Families whose children are eligible for bus transportation must register through HCPSS Connect Synergy to receive bus service for the 2023-2024 school year. Read more.

 

Yearbook Ordering Deadline: May 26!

All yearbook orders must be placed by May 26. Extra copies will not be available for purchase, so order now and don’t miss out. Read more

 

Join the BSU to celebrate our Seniors!

The BSU is holding our Senior recognition and Family Game night on May 11, 2023, from 6-8 pm in the cafeteria. Read more.

 

After Prom

Our After Prom Party will be hosted at Main Event at the Columbia Mall on Saturday, May 13. Doors open at 11 pm! The last day to purchase After Prom tickets is Wednesday, May 10.

CHS PTSA will be providing buses from Martins West (prom location) to Main Event for a $10 fee. The last day to purchase a bus ticket is this Sunday, May 7th, since we will need to provide the bus company with the accurate number on Monday. 

Purchase after prom tickets and bus tickets at Ticketleap. All tickets are electronic. Please bring your confirmation email and ID for check-in. 

 

Class of 2023 Graduation - May 24, 2023

Our commencement ceremony will be held at Merriweather Post Pavilion on Wednesday, May 24th at 11:00am. We will dismiss all students at 10:00am. The last day for the Senior class will be May 23rd.

Graduation 2023: Special Seating

Forms are available to request special seating for members of your family who may require accommodations for the graduation ceremony at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Read more

 

Hispanic Graduation Sarapes (stoles)

The HCPSS Hispanic Achievement Program is currently selling sarapes (stoles) to Hispanic and Latino graduating seniors. The sale of sarapes started February 1st and will continue through May 8th. Read more.

 

Social Media Awareness Event for Parents

The Howard County Health Department is offering sessions on Social Media Guides for Parents: Guide to Healthy Summer Habits. The sessions are virtual, and you can register and see more details here.

 Each event is from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. and will start with a presentation, and end with Q & A. 

May 9 - Parents of Children ages 3-8

May 10 - Parents of Children ages 9-12

May 11- Parents of Children ages 13-17

 

PRIDE PROM - REGISTRATION OPEN NOW

Registration for the inaugural Pride Prom is now open! Pride Prom will occur from 8pm-11pm on Saturday, June 10 at the Harriet Tubman Cultural Center and is open to all HCPSS high school students.

To learn more about the variety of activities at Prom, please visit the Pride Prom webpage. When you’re ready, be sure to register. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by check or through OPS.  

 

Scholarships for Seniors

While most or all college applications are complete, please look for scholarships.  You can locate a list of Scholarships in Naviance and Canvas announcements.  County and state scholarships are posted on the bulletin board outside of Student Services.  Please visit Student Services with any scholarship questions.

 

HCPSS Rainbow Conference - Register Now!

The HCPSS Rainbow Conference will be held on Saturday, May 6 from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.  The conference will be hybrid with opportunities for both virtual and in-person participation. Read more

Clean out your closets and bring us your unwanted clothing, footwear, textiles, accessories including handbags, backpacks, jewelry and more!The funds generated from your donated items will directly benefit and support our programs here at Centennial High School. Read more.

RTA Bus Passes

HCPSS has again partnered with the Howard County Government and the Regional Transportation Agency of Central Maryland to provide free RTA bus access to students.  Read more.
